Each emulator is usually specific to 1 console {the dolphin emulator does Wii and Gamecube and I think there's one that does both PS1 and 2} You can have different emulators for each console but they all do the job the same for the most part. You'll need a powerful enough PC or laptop to play PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast and Wii games but any console released before that will work on any old piece of shit. DS and PSP emulators will work too.
Give me a heads up of which console you want to emulate and i'll fill you in

What model i7? ...and is the heatsink a factory out-of-the-box oone? do you have any sort of graphics card? The Dolphin is heavily CPU dependant so you'll need a CPU clocked at 4.0mhz at least
Mine's only 3.4mhz but I have a massive custom heatsink installed to keep it cool and my GPU take a bit of the pressure off it too

If you want to build one I can find you parts for cheap. There are companies that build them for you.. you just give em the specs and they build and deliver it. Overclockers.com are great. Prefer to build em myself cos I've fuck all to do with my life XD

Jus thinking to myself. You should download the Dolphin emulator and try it out on it's lowest settings. I have it set at the top settings so the quality of the picture is a fair bit better than full HD. There's much lower settings on it so you could be ok... Gimme a shout and i'll walk you through it. (you'll need to download the games from the net don't forget. Some will be bigger than 4GB so make space)

mgsv not as big on tge cut scenes because of the open world style. There are atill some there though. I love the cinematics and story of mgs. Good stuff. Of course, if you badly want to jist olay the game you can skip all tgat stuff

Started tipping away at MGS:3 again. I'm finally inside the lab and looking for that scientist. Can't say I'm blown away by this game.. gameplay's clunky, and while the mechanics are deep.. it still feels shallow and passive. I'm just not into huge overly dramatic cutscenes and they've taken up more time than the gameplay. All in all I'm enjoying it. I'd give it a 7. Movie/games don't appeal too much to me

MGSV is an immense game! Though, i would recommend playing peace walker then ground zeroes before playing the phantom pain if you want the story to run smoothly. It goes: MGS3, MGS portable ops (not sure how relevant that one is), MGS peace walker, ground zeroes, then phantom pain, 1,2,3,4. I haven't completed the phantom pain yet, but the cur scenes ate few and far between, and most of it is just gameplay. There is quite a bit of chatter on the radio whilst playing though. Best of story and gameplay that way.

Thanks, Rich. Got the heads up from Boxythecat on Miiverse about which way the story goes last month. Tbh, think i'll read up on the story and go straight into playing MGSV cos the reviews are so good I'm kinda itching to play it. Was hard enough to not buy it straight away an play MGS3 first but I know i'll have a better experience with V that way.
Glad you're enjoying it. I've read a few MGS fans aren't completely sold on the game but most ppl have said it's a cracker ^^
