I think I would rather watch paint dry, and there is no way the cats out of the bag....not by them anyway.

What's funny double D? is it the fact that the developers tweet has bad grammar and spelt only as inly, and they want to make a game? worrying times indeed.
Or the fact that they advertised for the NX without an actual dev kit?

Will the Nintendo NX use cartridges instead of discs? It might, if a recent trademark listing for Zelda: Breath of the Wild is anything to go by.... source

If any of this new concrete rumour is true i am out. This is not what i want from the next Nintendo console. The full article from Nintendo Life: There have been lots of Nintendo NX rumours from individuals and their sources over the past few months, but now our colleagues at Eurogamer have stuck their necks out with their own assessment of Nintendo's next-generation system. Citing multiple sources, it's sketched out a number of key details it believes represent the upcoming Nintendo NX. First of all, a point-by-point summary of Eurogamer's claims that are based on 'a number of sources'. The NX is primarily a "high-powered handheld console with its own display", with the key twist that "the screen is bookended by two controller sections on either side, which can be attached or detached as required". At home you can connect the portable (which houses the power as a standalone device) to a base station that displays the system on the TV. This dual approach is to ensure that all games are fully functional 'on the go' or at home. It'll apparently use Nvidia Tegra technology, with the expected tech in use considered beyond the abilities of PS3 / Xbox 360, but not up to current-gen home console levels in terms of graphical power, unsurprising as this concept is essentially a dedicated portable. We'll be covering this aspect in more detail in a separate article. NX will use cartridges, as previously speculated. They may be limited to 32GB in size, though downloads can naturally get around that. There are apparently no plans for backward compatibility, as a result of the different architecture being used. The system is likely to be revealed in September, with a core marketing pitch to keep things simple and emphasize gaming on the go. Nintendo gave Eurogamer a boilerplate statement around this - "Nintendo has not made any new official announcements regarding NX which is due to launch in March 2017. As such [we're] unable to comment on the various rumours and speculations circulating." Eurogamer states that its report is drawing together information from multiple sources, some of which is familiar from older rumours and some that are a little different. In any case it's all conceivably true, and we certainly place value in Eurogamer's practices with sources, yet it's important to still note that none of this is confirmed. What do you think - could this be the shape of NX, and if so would you be happy about the system? and Nintendo Everythings.

I'm not sure I want a handheld. My next purchase will be a home console so I don't think the NX,if these rumours are correct, will be for me either. If the home dock adds supplemental power as per some of the previous patents then it might be ps4 in the home and Wii u power on the go? In which case I'm back in! They've spoken about an OS similar to Apples where no matter the power of the device a version of the software will run on it (to a degree).
Still none the wiser. Still want to know before I buy something else! Still want the new Zelda!!

if this is true and they think third party will come to support their tegra mobile chip then they will be in the wrong. because the past thought us one thing and that is anything out of the ordinary will pretty much be dead from the start. third party hate to develop for different architecture and with less power than the other systems... didnt they learn any thing from the wiiu??..
looks like the ps4neo will be my main system, as i planned. the nx will pretty much be only for animal crossing, if that ever arrive... the worst part of all this is that there is no bc at all.

All i really wanted from Nintendo's next console was a unified account so games were not tied to a specific console. Backwards comparability, especially with eShop purchases and comparable power to PS4/XBOXONE. So thanks a lot Nintendo your not providing any of these!

Wow. I don't know what to think but it does sound very plausible and Nintendo. One question is how the hell is zelda botw going to be on a cartridge and a portable if its as big and as graphically beautiful as we've seen? The speculation reports that nx won't be up to current gen standards in that department.

I'm excited for NX carts ( SD? ). Smaller, more durable, PS4 disc drive read speed is 27mb per second, a Kingston class 10 USH-1 SD card has a read speed of 90mb per second. No more need for a large hard-drive either you can get SD cards with 64GB? space that's bigger than a PS4 disc!!
