Getting my first amiibo was pretty rad. I got it with Smash 3DS too (as I already had Smash Wii U). It was also the last day of the year. It was pretty great! I chose Link because I love the Legend of Zelda and the idea at the time was to get all Zelda amiibo (although that isn't the case anymore). The person behind me and their child were clearly into Skylanders because they had a shaky grasp on five boxes. At first I told my mother that she was lucky I was only getting one (yeah, okay, for like one month) and she told me to stop being so rude. But her eyes when they went to the till next to us and the nice man spent 30 seconds scanning them all... wow her face. She couldn't look. Pretty funny.
I got home and I realised that amiibo are firmly in there boxes. They're really hard to pull out of the plastic! I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the boxes at the time so I ended up ripping it up a bit but I left it as it was.
