In Finland people have bought a Playstation by default since the PS2 came out. Nobody wanted a console that looked like the Gamecube did. The games didn't, and don't matter. It's sad really. My older sons friends have/are getting PS3's and PS4's left and right, and whenever they come to play at our house it becomes clear that they can't play a game, any type of game, at all! But they sure like to tap their phones a lot.. Whats your point? That the innovation doesn't matter. People bought the Wii for the price only, and the games were too hard for the kids so they switched to Playstations and phones. Innovation won't sell the NX for the masses. Not here at least. |

The key of getting good sales is in my opinion having a decent console price with many launch games and many variation of type of games so casual players and hardcore players will buy it.
It's important that a console has many vacation to play.
The wii u lacks *adult* games.

I have said this before but sadly NX will carry wiiu's negative baggage with it from launch. The general public has a very negative view of nintendo and pretty much nothing will change that. That's why I think nintendo should go down the first & second party only route. As there is no point pretending third parties will give it there full support.

They (third parties) don't want to spread the install base any further. They are already making buggy games for three platforms at a time and shooting themselves in the feet in the process. They need strong sells from the platforms to keep themselves alive 'cause the games are so expensive to make. They won't compete with Nintendo's constant bitrates and polished products on Nintendo's hardware. And Nintendo does right by not throwing them money like Sony and Microsoft do. |

That the innovation doesn't matter. People bought the Wii for the price only, I would disagree and say the Wii was marketed very well and hit the target audience, your nan or grandad or even both . It was clever and it worked, the Wii was all about getting the casuals and Nintendo nailed it/them |

Who's to say they won't nail it again? One thing you can say about Nintendo is you can never predict what they have planned,sure we can guess and fantisize and hope but the chances are we'll be completely wrong when the console is finally unveiled.
