Nintendo's messed up schedule!
So Nintendo have updated their release schedule and boy is it a mess! from now on multiple releases will launch within a week of each other! Because of this i will have to let some games/amiibo i want go for now. For me the biggest disapointment is Rodea: The Sky Soldier a game i have wanted for a long time. not only have nintendo provided a £60 special edition but the game launches one week before Starfox, Mario tennis and the Falco amiibo! Had really wanted to support Nintendo and the developers Rodea by getting the rather expensive ltd edition but i wont even be able to get the regular as i will be getting Starfox and the falco amiibo. The same issue happens with Triforce heroes and Project Zero. May have to forgo Zelda at first as Project Zero is an exclusive ltd edition possibly only available for one run. Nintendo really need to space their releases out better.

Sorry don't know that for a fact but as the game is only getting a physical release as a limited edition i am assuming it wont see much of a run. Just incase i have edited it to say possibly only one.

Even assuming you only had a Wii U & Amiibo and wanted everything released this year here's what it looks like - August 28th Devil's Third £30 / £50 September 11th Mario Maker £50 (special edition) September 25th Mii Amiibo x 3 versions, Duck Hunt Amiibo, Rob Amiibo (another colour of this to come too) Mr game and watch Amiibo (total 6 Amiibo minimum price £10.99 (total £65.94) (£98.91 for me because I'm buying 4 game and watch to display each pose) October 23rd MewTwo Amiibo £10.99 (yes just one couldn't have held a couple of September ones back could they?) October 30th project zero £49.99 (Limited edition) November 13th Rodea £59.99 (limited edition) November 20th Falco Amiibo £10.99 November 20th Star Fox zero £35 /£50 November 20th Mario tennis £35 /£40 November 27th Mega Yarn Amiibo £30 (TBC) December 4th xenoblade £40 / £60 Total spend - around £480 That's excluding Animal crossing wii u all the animal crossing amiibo, a few third party games Disney infinity 3, sky landers, snoopy, lego dimensions, just dance (someone will buy it) all the 3ds games Zelda, pokemon, Chibi and his amiibo, The colour variants of mario maker amiibo and rob (if they make it this year) Shovel knight retail (if it makes it over here this year) So between now and January 1st I'm laying out over £1,000 on games and amiibo (excluding eshop releases or vc I might want that I don't get review copies of) and then I have to get other people some presents I suppose while most of these sit looking pretty on a shelf for many months. it's not all bad though I won't have to buy almost anything for 3 / 4 months after xenoblade as almost nothing will be released. With all these taking sales from each other they are all going to suffer

Most these releases have been known about well in advance though, and you've had plenty of time to save for them, don't see an issue with them being released together personally. Just look at the release schedules for other consoles, they get like 50% of the years releases squeezed in to a couple of months every year, and people still complain about it like it's something unexpected.

I think Nintendo are trying to compete with the other releases as there is so many games coming out from September to December but sadly I dont think Nintendo will come out on top. The likes of fallout 4, star wars battlefront etc...

Its not easy saving up when you are spending a fortune on games and amiibo year round. Have had absolutely no time to save. Plus you cant play everything at once. spreading things out a little would help. plus as usual with nintendo dates are not known that far ahead.

Well i am i suppose. Will be getting Mario Maker, Project Zero, Xenoblade & a couple of amiibo. Will be winding down my amiibo collecting as nintendo are really taking the piss with the shear amount they are releasing. Wont be buying any of the animal crossing crap and starfox looks terrible so i will wait for reviews of that.

Nintendo are just releasing every character of their franchises now. First mario, then zelda, now animal crossing, what's next?

Totally agree, starting to feel its a case of get everything out, the NX is coming! I quite fancy Starfox but i'm totally getting wet for Mario Maker. I modded my own NSMBW when it came out (redone every level except world 9) but only gave it to a couple of people so im dying to remake some of those levels and sheet loads more for you all to try!
