So, I pre-ordered a Switch but decided to cancel a few weeks ago. I still kept an eye on things but thought accessories looked a bit pricey.
Then I saw the Snipperclips Joy-Con bundle and decided to pre-order that, giving myself a week after release to cancel if I hadn't gone and bought a Switch. Issues on Amazon meant I couldn't pre-order (bad Amazon!) so I complained. No resolution (bad Amazon again) but I thought I'd try again on Saturday just to see if I got the same error. Low and behold I could order - but amazon no longer had stock! I left it, thinking I could cancel once I'd moaned at Amazon some more and they'd given me a date and maybe offered some form of compensation for being generally shit on this order.
Well that backfired, they've just delivered to me today. So I'm now the proud owner of a set of Joy Con, a Snipperclips code and no Switch to play it on!! Bugger.

Snipperclips is awesome!
I hope you have fun with the Switch if you manage to get one eventually.

Thanks Harri Until then I'll sit and stare at just how small those joycon actually are and gloat as I've never had a disconnect issue. Or a connection one for that matter! Still can't help but laugh that I own a really expensive controller for a system I don't have yet! And nobody has stock of Zelda so I can add that to the same drawer and not be able to play it!!

XD But atleast you have 4 controllers ready when you get the system. I still need to invest on a pair, and probably a charging grip too. On a sidenote, my Switch screen just went black.. Let's see if I become Twitter famous, !

I think it was just a freeze that happened on a black screen, it's working now.
Better not update your router firmware to avoid the issue...

Glad your black screen of death turned out to be a black screen of mild ill health Harri. I thought the story might give amuse lostbhoy! Still can't quite believe I have a set of controllers sat in my drawer and no console!!

Thanks. I hope they fix the wifi issues soon. I got mine to connect to 5Ghz frequency when I deleted all internet settings and started again after my Switch froze... Very odd.

Were you talking about on our end, or yours, ? Fun fact - I have the console, and I have the game, but I haven't tasted the game card! So you're more experienced in BotW than me ... You're in for a treat when you get to play it finally. Snipperclips is good fun too. Oh, the Joy-Con grip works perfectly as a controller, so I wouldn't worry about getting a pro controller with the console right away. Money saved.

Thanks Harri. I'll not buy a pro controller for starters and see how I get on then. I quite liked the idea of getting the pro controller next so I could pretend to play some multiplayer on a system I don't own!!

The Joy-Con work perfectly. I really like the smaller analog stick movement. I have about 100 hours in BotW with no issues at all. It's very comfortable. The L R and ZL ZR buttons are a bit small, but I've gotten used to them. I only need to test the buttons as Dpad with a 2d platformer before the final decision on the Pro controller or not...
9v batteries are lame. The old big (4.5V?) batteries that went to flashlights and remote cars etc. were the best!
