I gave it a play and enjoyed the first levels. It's a pretty solid game.

The most important part of a platform game is how it feels and I think they nailed that, sure Mario runs on his own but timing and hopping and spinning feels fun. I think it's a good game, could be doing with more levels but collecting the sets of coloured coins is a challenge and Toad Rally is very addictive.
Whether it's worth £7.99 is going to be entirely subjective but cmon, it's not a great amount of money, I have plenty of fun out of it and hope it's a success for them.
