Hi gang recently i think we have let the smutty comments and non Nintendo chat get out of control. I am as guilty as anyone but i need to try and restore some order so going forward can we try and keep the adult humor to a minimum. the odd comment/post is okay but we cant let it take over. Also from now on can we try and keep posts on topic. One final thing try and not hijack a thread especially not with off topic chatter. Thanks for your time.

Also Jules we have never really stuck to any rules as such but i think we need to to make this a worthwhile and fun place but as i said before that's up to you guys.

 it was aimed for disaster from the start posting pictures of Ken dolls with tiny buldges pmsl I personally thought your blog was hilarious made me laugh and that's what it's all about having a laugh not strict like miiverse. Also I agree some people want to have a serious conversation that's fine but don't make unwanted changes when it's not really needed This is weverse Doug not miiverse!!!! He is the creator of weverse, therefore we should respect his requests.
I am all for talking about anything and everything, but i can completely appreciate and agree with where doug is coming from. Too many off topic comments on specific themed posts is rubbish, especially if you are trying to keep it all in a nice flow.
It's not as if it's going in a mioverse direction, it totally isn't. Doug said in his opening paragraphs that he would like to try and keep the smutty adult chat to a minimum and that the odd comment or post is okay, je never said that it wasn't allowed.
I for one don't want weverse to go. I like it here. I think if the same problems are happening then action would be suitable agains the individual(s) involved who is/are repeat offenders.
Appreciate that doug has set this up for is all in the first place and just be a bit more respectful/mindful before posting and i say everything will be just swell.

Nobody has done anything wrong,its just a matter of perhaps we all should show a little restraint when it comes to more adult orientated posts,we need to bear in mind this forum is primarily a Nintendo fan forum created by Dd for people who want to escape the dictatorial miiverse,no one is laying down any laws to anyone or singling out any individuals. Its about the content of Weverse threads and posts and the possibility of perhaps some of said content offending people,I have been guilty of posting stuff that lots of people could find offensive, I hold my hands up to that one, but I often wonder if people who are not members but Nintendo fans visit this site read some of the stuff thats posted and are turned off by the rather adult humour contained within,we have 90 plus members and I kind of get the impression the reason why a large percentage have not returned is because of said content?Just a thought, have we lost sight of why the forum was created in the first place? Are we putting off younger members,females,people who dont find 'adult' humour funny from joining us? I personally dont have a problem from refraining from smutty jokes and innuendo etc,others may see it differently and resent being censored so, its a difficult thing for admin to lay down the law so to speak.So perhaps Richs idea of an 18+ would work,I do know if I was a stranger to this forum and read through some of the stuff thats been posted id feel a little intimidated and probably wouldnt join.Surly the whole idea is to get more people to join?

Vv - 18+ thread wasn't my idea. Although i swear and curse quite a lot in real life, there is a time and a place for it in my opinion. If i am at work, or talking to others who are not immediately close to me, i temd to be polite and respectful that someone may not be comfortable with that kind of language, hence why you very rarely see my adding any expletives in my posts or comments (in fact, the only time i seriously used some of that language a lot was when wendybird said she was being cuber bullied. The though of which makes my blood boil) Anyway, all i was basically trying to say is, along the same lines as Vv, is just to be a bit more mindful that not everyone appreciated that kind of colourful language and just to be respectful of what doug has created for us. I am in no way pointong fingers at any one person or placing blame on anyone. Just simple weverse values that will only make the forum better in my opinion

To comment or not to comment?! For now i'll say i completely disagree with everything that has been said. I won't go into individual reasons. All i will say is - no one has yet to point out the underlying reason Weverse was created and still exists, and i think that point has been forgotten!
For those who have joined and left... there was nothing said or done publicly to persuade them to go. For those who have stayed.. it seems you are all disillusioned as to what this place really is!
