Hi gang. I was wondering if anyone can help me with PS1 emulation. I recently had the urge to play Various Final Fantasy for the first time. I wanted to start with FF7 but am unsure how to best go about this and if its even possible (Especially with my crap laptop)

I got a ps2 emu on my pc that came with set up instructions but you'll need the bios files. I got em if u need em, i can upload them for you.
Emu paradise is a good site for emus.
Whats your laptop specs? Gfx card will prob be the stickler but worth a go.

i am on win7 and i use epsxe1.70 to test out ps1 games, its old but works very good.

I've been using emu paradise for years but only noticed last month that they have a movie and tv section! Some good stuff there for the kids!

If you have any problems post them here and i'll troubleshoot  I've never had trouble with any game on a PS emulator that hadn't a quick fix like a change in settings or patch to download. (If you haven't played a Final Fantasy yet then i recommend FFVI on an SNES emulator. VI and IV are better than the rest by a country mile!) |

 . Any computer with a 2.5GHz CPU or higher should have no problem running any console up to PS2. (Not Gamecube cos the Dolphin emulator is extremely CPU dependent) Actually, if you want to play FFVII then buy the PC version for cheap. It's exactly the same as the PS version and it will run on anything {except Win '95 XD} and the loading times will be way faster |

How you feel about a emulator thread being started Doug? No roms of course, don't want to attract that kinda heat!! But one where people can post a link to an emu package and offer any support on set up or any problems?
