It also melts and fades horribly in direct sunlight. Chalk pastel can be semi fixed with a layer of aerosol hairspray.

Cheaper ones feel like you're using crayons but the high end like Sennelier brand has a consistentsy like lipstick. It's a strange medium but I really like it
