The best game I've played on a tablet/phone is Monument Valley, an isometric puzzle platformer where you guide your character through seemingly impossible mazes of optical illusions, creating pathways and manipulating objects using your finger. It's a visually stunning game with sounds to match, I recommend headphones so you can lose yourself in this. I think I completed it in one 2-3 hour sitting I was so enthralled by the puzzles.

! Snake was amazing!! There have been so many clones but nothing quite like playing it on an old nokia!
