So apparently the big N have said there are no plans to release classic games under the virtual console banner on the switch. Something i predicted here at the announcement of the Mega Drive collection thats inbound for the console (well for sega at least and possibly other non Nintendo consoles).
The reasoning behind the decision is that the VC platform could not include the likes of online play with classic titles which is obviously an encouragement to get the Nintendo online service should you want to experience this modern twist with a classic NES double dragon say. But what does this mean for Gamecube games on switch?? Time will tell!
