I like the look of the new mario tennis game. 3rd party games (more often than not) are PS4 buys for me, but i like the look of ys VIII. Hyrule warriors can wait until it's cheaper.

Seriously not impressed. Too many ports and nothing to grab your attention. I really fear for Nintendo now, I really do. They have lost touch with the whole industry and think the fans will continue to buy slightly polished turds pushed out with the gusto of constipation every couple of years or so. Unacceptable in my eyes!

Tennis could be fun and yes same here Rich. Switch versions of multiplatform games are more expensive for a lesser version and you cant post vids or stream on switch.

I am a little worried by the content of the next few months (that we currently know about anyway). Nothing too exciting on offer here but I'm hoping this console will be on the go for a few years yet and by the time we look back we'll have had many classics. They were on right track with BOTW and Odyssey, that was one hell of a first year and was going to be tough to top. We still have Metroid Prime on the way and hopefully good things to come at E3.
The re-releases aren't exciting for us but I can see why they are doing it, they put effort into some of those great games and they deserve to see it get a larger audience.

It does look different this year. I agree about the high amount of ports (though I’ll be buying Bayonetta again!). They had their two main tent pole IP out in the first year. This year looks to be padded out by the likes of Kirby and  (usually good but not Odyssey/BoTW great) and WiiU ports. Still wouldn’t be surprised by a Smash port for the big Xmas release. I can’t say I think they’re doomed though! To me that’s an overreaction. |

I still think Gamecube ports would sell more systems rather than Wii U ports though. They always seem to hold against what the people really want. I think a hell of a lot of Switch owners would be seriously pissed if the next Smash Bros is a port and a not a new game. In my eyes Nintendo have made the same console since the GC with slight technical improvements.... GC-Wii (GC with motion control) Wii-Wii U (GC with the above, and a slight HD touchscreen) Wii U-Switch (same as above only better HD, streamlined and a docking station for what the Wii U could do at the touch of a button) ((okay, I'm being a dick here but c'mon!!!))There were some really fun rides along the way and I'm not against ports of the good games but there should be much more new 1st and 3rd  titles coming at the same rate as the other consoles to gather system popularity. But then we tread the murky waters of hardware capability...! Just my opinion, not trying to diss anyone else's as i'm sure people will be excited by whats on offer, but I wish they'd do all that along with the what the people want. .....loling so hard at the emoji everytime you type !! ! |
