Like Craig said lostbhoy, it's under User information - User ID. If you did your Nintendo account like me, you don't actually have a password for it by default. You have to create one first. You can use whatever password you want, but you must create one before you can make an ID. You can't be logged in via NNID, facebook, or twitter to make the ID. Go to User information - password first, create one, and then you should be able to create an Nintendo user ID for yourself.

So they still using fucking friend codes, what a bloody joke. I thought we'd be able to add just with a username. I'll add the codes to then as I see them. Start with Doug's.

Friends can be added from twitter, miitomo, facebook, and in the future, from NNID's too! I'll look into the username adding..

Adding by NNID's isn't possible yet, but miitomo definitely is. That's how I found Doug... Twitter etc. should be too, but I didn't have my account linked at first.

I couldn't connect to the 5Ghz frequency, but it connected perfectly to the 2.4Ghz network. Maybe the 5Ghz frequency is reserved for local connections between consoles?
Have you checked your router settings? It should find the wifi with no problems at all..

My stupid router! I sorta got into it last night to start checking settings then poof I got kicked out and for some reason I can't get back into from any device. It still connects to all (but my switch) I have a couple of other routers here and the switch finds them so i'll prob just swap the routers out later today when I feel like not being lazy... plus when I'm ready to deal with any aggravation it may cause.

Have you managed to connect your Switch online 9 ? I found a little something from the webs... Seems that the Switch has wi-fi issues on the driver front, and Nintendo is aware of the issues, and are looking to fix them... I remembered I have issues as well. The Switch supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wifi frequencies, but I can only connect to 2.4Ghz... Anyway, here's something that could be worth checking out... "While a firmware issue could be the issue, the answer for most people is actually in the form of the encryption the router uses for it's security. The Switch only supports AES encryption for security and won't support TKIP. If you look at the security options available when manually setting up a connection on the Switch, you'll see that it only supports WEP (Open), WEP (Shared), WPA-PSK (AES) and WPA2-PSK (AES) in terms of security options. Before going out and buying a new router, try changing your routers security settings to an AES encrypted version such as WPA2-PASK. The option should be in your Wireless Settings on your router (the methods of accessing this will be different depending on your router so you'll need to look this up). My Switch was right next to my router and it was still invisible. I changed the router security settings to WPA2 (AES) instead of the default WPA (TKIP) and it appeared straight away. The Switch is literally incapable of identifying any networks that use outdated encryption standards such as TKIP."
