Well that's the fun part, I only spent when it's not needed to spent if the game makes you want to spent to hard then I won't do it.

Will give it a go but i checked out some of the prices (Yen=Pounds) and its pretty pricey. I think for me though my biggest concern is adding friends. I have zero real life friends that would be into this so it would rely on you guys but i got the impression that may not be possible.

Just read an article on ign and as I suspected you can add friends in three ways:
In person
Facebook
Twitter
This will seriously limit the amount of people who I can add.

Here’s an interesting little tidbit about Miitomo. Tomodachi Life QR codes work with the app, meaning you can easily bring over your character. The Mii’s name, voice, appearance, and personality transfer. Your catchphrase also becomes your greeting. You can use the QR code so long as you’ve sen “allow copying” on.
