Games I Am Currently Playing

Recently got back into Xenoblade Chronicles X. First time I put it in really since I bought it during release. More fun than I gave it credit for but I'm sort of glad Zelda seems like it will take a different approach to open world design. Hopefully I'll get my skell soon as I hear that's when things really open up, only between chapter 4 and 5 now.

From July 28 to August 9 I'll be going on a trip around some of the US so I'll likely be playing a lot more handheld stuff. Already been replying the Oracle games and some Pokemon but I also should get back to Contact and Mother 3.

I haven't got back to it. Mostly cuz miiverse mods are assholes. Ugh. Don't know when I'll bother with WiiU because it just gets worse and worse as far as that bs goes.

So mostly I've been playing ps4 stuff. I loved the new Deus Ex except for the length as well as unsatisfactory ending. Bioshock collection is nice but not really impressive as far as remasters go, plus I already played through them before so not exactly new. I finally finished the main part of Senran Kagura Estival Versus and may try to platinum it. I bought the Attack on Titan game today, always heard about the anime but haven't watched it but the game looked fun so I wanted to try it.

I think I may replay Nier soon. Already trying to get all trophies but I want to start a fresh play through and actually watch all cutscenes and do almost every quest etc. before the new Nier comes in late February. Don't want to spoil stuff for others but a few characters in the latest trailer have got me excited for it.

Playing Uncharted 4 atm and it's outstanding! The visuals, holy crap, first time this gen has really impressed me.
Finished Abzu, which was beautiful and relaxing, much in the same vain as Journey or Flower if you've played them.

Other than a short demo of Uncharted 3, this is my first Uncharted game so may go and play the others now. And yeah I guess playing too much of any series will burn you out a bit!

Been playing The Last Guardian. A game I had been anticipating for a long long time, having loved Ico and Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2. There's a good game in there somewhere, Trico is adorable, I can live with him not doing everything I want him to, he's a wild animal after all. But controlling the boy is also an exercise in frustration. It feels like you are fighting with the controls too often. Trying to jump from a chain onto a platform, I know what to do, the game surely knows what I want to do as it's set up for you to do that, and yet he would rather jump to his death instead. I've had enough, the controls are bad, the camera is awful (half the time the screen is taken up by Trico's feathery arse) and I have no hints where to go next. Can't be arsed.
